Now that fascism has won the election, the joke isn’t quite as funny any more… but barring censorship, we’ll have Shaenon to help us get through the grueling next four years!
You might want to revisit the definition of fascism.
Labels are used to divide. The hope is that we can somehow get beyond the labels, begin to listen to each others’ needs, and work together toward the less-than-fully-satisfying compromises that allow us to live together in this world.
I’m using the Mussolini/Brownshirts definition. “Anti”Fa is still out there, behaving identically… “Only BLM” is helping… And the next interest they show in listening, will be the first. But this conversation needs to go offline; I doubt Shaenon intended her joke about the election results to go this far.
I’m always astonished when works created by liberal leaning creators prove popular with conservatives who fail to understand the actual messages and themes of the works.
I really shouldn’t be so surprised, all things considered, but I just can’t reach a point where the detachment from reality isn’t still shocking.
A post-election comic says that fascism is rising. Even a liberal has a right to speak out against Antifa and BLM fascism… and I do Shaenon the favor of assuming that’s what she was doing. It’s not as though the Trump Administration is out there rioting and burning…

Gillian Anderson later revealed on Twitter what the gifts were:
@GillianA Scully got a dildo and Mulder got Octopus Porn. #TheXFiles
So now we know!
How can you be bad at drawing skulls? You can draw faces. A skull is a face without meat. That’s less work!
I remember the ghosts seeming confused by the idea that Mulder and Scully aren’t actually a couple, but I may be wrong about that.
Does Mulder have the same leather jacket here that he does in The Pine Bluff Variant?
