Yay!!! Your Monster of the Week comics made me address my geekdom deficit of having never watched X-Files. I was a little sad once my episode viewing moved past the last comic. I know it’s only six episodes, but I am so happy to see this pop up in my RSS feed.
I’m not really interested in more Buffy, I just want Shaenon to draw recaps of the original episodes, so I can learn more about those without having to watch them. (And, yes, I know what sense of entitlement is, and why it’s a bad thing, thanks for asking.)
In German, ‘My Struggle’ translates to ‘Mein Kampf’. The title of the episode was Chris Carter’s tip of the hat to Karl Ove Knausgård’s series of autobiographical novels of the same name. Knausgård clearly intended the connection to Hitler’s book, but it’s not clear exactly what is meant by the connection. The New Yorker has an essay about it here: http://www.newyorker.com/books/page-turner/why-name-your-book-after-hitlers
MoTW is back! This is my favorite webcomic and I’ve missed you a lot! I can’t afford to subscribe to your Patreon but I hope you still keep it up, at least for the new episodes. I hope you do more, and if not, thanks for at least doing everything you’ve done so far.
Love this! So funny
Yay! Also, I was wondering what they were gonna do with the whole baby plotline. Ignore it, I guess?
Yay! MotW is back!
Oh, how I’ve missed Monster of the Week!

Oh yeah!! Just don’t draw ’em too fast, because we’re a week behind here in Australia… 🙂
Great to see new MotW pages.
Now if only Joss Whedon would follow Cris Carter’s lead; I’d love to get an MotW-style coverage of Buffy.
we don’t need more Buffy, truth be told.
we do, however, need some closure on Firefly.

Good thing you’re not being translated into German.
Why is that?

Yaaaaaay!
YES!!!!!!! I was so sad when MoTW stopped partway through my binge-watching of the series, super-happy to have it back, if only briefly.
Oh my goodness! I squealed when I saw this in my comic updates. So happy MotW is back!
I have not seen the new X-files, can confirm the accuracy of this strip.
Shaenon keeps out all the dull expository bits and focuses on the immutable truth. We need more Mulder and Scully.
I love you! Welcome back!
Yes this episode was weak but Darin Morgan’s episode is soooo good.
I just got the t-shirt reference from the Topps comic book series.
Wait — shaving cream and an electric razor? That’s not going to end well.
Woo!
Skinner’s Beard!

OMG YOU’RE BACK!!! <3 *cries happy tears*
Awesome! I love these! Thanks!
I don’t know why butt I find that Glen Beck panel hilarious. When I read this comic I burst out laughing when I saw that panel.
I’m going to enjoy this. Thanks for doing it!
…What does Skully’s shirt in the first two panels say?
Probably says, “I learned the truth and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”
