I respect the X-Files for almost never having big guest stars. It’s mostly future celebrities and absolute top-drawer character actors. Billy Drago has the perfect face for an X-File.
I could go for more witchcraft-centric episodes. Witches are great.
That was the episode where I went… wait a minute, that guy looks kinda like Ed from Northern Exposure… and then found out that Billy Drago is the father of Darren E. Burrows.
It really surprised me when I found that out, too, partly, because in Northern Exposure, you didn’t see Darren Burrows with his real blonde hair.
Argh, there shouldn’t be a comma after partly. For some reason, since I downloaded iOS 16, it sticks random commas into my dictated comments. Also, I forgot that my screen name is Manifesta.
Although the two episodes with Peter Boyle, and with Alex Trebek, Jesse Ventura and Charles Nelson Reilly were two of the best (although that was mostly due to Darin Morgan)
Poppin’ corn…
X-Files is sure prescient about their stars – SEE Jack Black and Giovanni Ribisi. And a certain Malcom in the Middle star in their excellent SPEED homage/ripoff.
But they also had plenty of star power for some of the best episodes of the show – Brad Dourif in Beyond the Sea and Steve Railsback as Duane Barry
