Willie Garson, who plays Weems, was previously the janitor in The Walk, a rare case of character-actor recycling for The X-Files. I like this episode, but I could have gone for even more improbable Rube Goldbergian strings of cause and effect. There’s a story in the Tenchi Muyo manga that uses a similar concept really cleverly, and brother, when the Tenchi Muyo manga has smarter writing than your thing, you’re in trouble.

“Most Italian” is a fun phrase.
Very clever use of the alphabet.
For the first time this season, I actually think I remember this one. And yes, it could have done with being more Goldbergian (or, as we say here in the UK, Heath Robinsonesque).
I love how the lettered concepts are carefully arranged so that (X) is THE TRUTH.
Any chance of hearing more about this Tenchi Muyo manga story?
I appreciate that you plotted it out so that The Truth is X.
Is scully having a meatball sub?
Rube Goldberg death traps are what make the Final Destination movies so fun.
