Man, this episode is action-packed. I didn’t have room for things like the Lone Gunman visiting Scully in the hospital, which I found adorable.
Also, I didn’t get to include the running thing in these episodes where Mulder wears Scully’s cross necklace. FOR THE FANS.
Haha! Awesome!
I loved this episode. So many great monologues!
OH! You forgot the boob fairy coming to Scully while she was gone! OH! Still awesome and laugh-til-I-cried funny, though, as they all have been. Keep up the good work!
Oh yeah, I totally didn’t appreciate it the first time it aired. As a highschool sophmore, all I could think was, ‘Woah, were Scully’s boobs always that big?’
Shaenon’s probably still reeling from her mother’s comments on Helen’s “character development”.
I forgot to mention how perfectly you drew Melissa–kudos!!
I actully went ahead and watched this one the other day so I could enjoy the comic a bit more. It’s been ages since I saw it. I do have to admit to fast forwarding thru every single Dana dream sequence, tho. Oh, except the one with General Hammond (Admiral Skully?). I love that guy. Him and his ginormous bald head.
Tons of character development for Skinner in this one, too. Yippie!
This is my all-time favorite episode. I’ve watched it more than three gazillion times and I still can’t get enough.
“Dear FBI, I quit. Love, Mulder.” —> ROFLMAO!
Start your fanfiction now —> ROFLMAO X 100000000000
And the way Mulder stares at Scully in the second to last panel —> SO.Funny.
I watched The X-Files sporadically, and I remember ver few episodes, so I’ve been reading up on the episodes as you post them. This week, I realized that I needn’t bother—your strip
had the information I could possibly need, plus funny.
Poop, that should read “has all,” not “had.” *shakes fist at uneditable comment page in impotent ire*
Oh, yeah, “Cesar Romero”? I’m guessing that wasn’t in the show, but it kills.
Brilliant as usual!
“… stuck some junk DNA in her…” and she had a baby. Did the script writer dislike the assistant art director?
I wonder if they storyboard like this?
I don’t quite get what Scully is holding in panel five…is that a sandwich? Is she crocheting?
You know, they could’ve had Scully propped up in bed, or not shot her directly from the side, and the effect probably would have been less, uh, mountainous.
This episode also has Crying!Mulder in it. Truly, everything happens, all at once.
(I read that as a sandwich in panel five.)
About Scully’s breasts… what I remember thinking at the time was “Wow that’s a very good bra she’s wearing…”
Excellent episode, excellent cartoon shaenon, thanks!
