My procedure for making Monster of the Week strips is scattershot. Usually I watch the episode and then scribble down a thumbnail later, but once in a while I take notes, especially if it’s an episode I’m not familiar with and/or I can’t figure out what the heck is going on without a scorecard. These are my notes for “3,” the vampire episode from the first second season.

second season, not first. And, if i remember right the vampire chick in this episode was David D’s actual wife or girlfriend. I liked this episode originally because it gave us an idea of how fox operated before scully came along.
“Double points if Scully is the coroner and eats stuff.” Wish I could remember which episode had that glorious moment when Scully stops midway through weighing somebody’s innards to call for pizza.
“Bad Blood”, one of the great ones.
Was that the one where she was doing autopsies and found that each of the victims had pizza for dinner and that made her hungry for pizza? Definitely one of the more hilariously macabre moments.
I remember watching this one and waiting to see Scully all dressed up in a sexy vamp outfit. That would have been fun
You just made me understand the ending of that ep, and realize that I handout understood it before this.
I’ve always liked 3. The shaving scene was sizzling hot and I loved how John, the Son burned in the sunlight (*classic* porphyria symptom!). And sad Mulder with Scully’s cross is so bittersweet.
