This is one of the episodes I find a little frustrating, as there isn’t any reason everyone should assume that there’s only one flukeman, but everyone does. At the end of the show there are two flukes at large, one from the sewer worker that was flukeman’s second victim and the other the one that regenerated from the other half of flukeman. But perhaps they have learned their lessons and no longer attack humans.
(Scully should really have remembered that cutting a flatworm in half just gives you two flatworms.)
Speaking of learning, flatworms can gain the memories of other flatworms by eating them, but this fact may have been too gross to make use of, even for this episode.
Man, they really did play up the neon ‘Live Bait’ on that campground sign, didn’t they?
I love that episode! Especially the part where he escapes in the tank truck that empties port a potties. It’s just so so gross!!!!
It’s Mulder Christmas! 😀
This comic is amazing – I just caught up! It’s making me want to rewatch all the old episodes.
Heh. Looks like Gumby’s REALLY gross cousin.
..and Yay!! You fixed Skinner’s head with just a few tiny strokes. Go you!
Starring Darin Morgan as the flukeman!

Oh, the next one is ‘Blood’, the first episode Darin Morgan worked on as a writer, and it has William Sanderson in it! Oh man oh man!
