Jacob’s Ladder! I saw the last 2/3 of that film on TV in the dead of night once and had no idea what it was called til now. Good times, bad dreams.
I particularly like the card in the end credits saying that NASA didn’t endorse this tale of space-ghost sabotage. In case we thought they did.
This rocks! I absolutely adored X-Files and this comic is so dead on! It’s true that Mulder was very hot but Scully was way awsome she was always my hero!
This is beyond brilliant. I missed the show the first time around and started watching it on Netflix and you managed to articulate what I have been thinking.
I remember reading one of the X-Files magazines back during like season eight or something, and they were doing a run down of the seasons. CC said himself that this was the worst episode of season one and possibily of the whole show itself. Couldn’t agree with him more!
You, good person, are genius, a vagrant, a gentle(wo)man and a barista. Harbinger of joy and snark. I shall follow you with an amount of devotion as is appropriate for the online community.
And… stuff.
Scully: “Why would somebody want to sabotage the Space Shuttle?”
Mulder: “Well, if you were a terrorist, there probably isn’t a more potent symbol of American progress and prosperity, and if you’re an opponent of big science, NASA itself represents a vast money trench that exists outside the crucible and debate of the democratic process, and of course there are those futurists who belive the Space Shuttle is a rusty old bucket that should be mothballed, a dinosaur spacecraft built in the 70s by scientists setting their sights on space in an ever-declining scale.”
Scully: “And we thought we could rest easy with the fall of the Soviet Union.”
Muldur: “Not to mention certain fringe who accuse our government itself of space sabotage. The failure of the Hubble Telescope and the Mars Observer directly connected to a conspiracy to deny us evidence.”
Oh my god, this comic is making me look forward to watching this episode /so much/. Still have to watch the end of episode 8 first, though!

Hands down, worst X-Files episode ever.
Brought here by 109, and I will now be following! Hilarious, can’t wait for more!
This is way too funny. Cant wait for more.
Lots of fun! Brings back memories and makes me chuckle at the same time.

I found you because of io9
This one makes me feel so sorry for Scully!
I’m just working my way through season 8 (blergh). I look forward to this comic getting there.
EXCELLENT.
I think I like the comic better than the show! 🙂
I love these! Can’t wait wait for more 🙂

This is awesome. Helps that I’m watching this (for the first time) on Hulu myself right now. I love, love, love this webcomic.
Ahahahah this was one of the worst episedes ever (with Ghost in the machine and Blood) hihiihih… I love the way you did it.
This discussion has not aged well:

I actually liked this one. But … yeah, I can’t really … oh well.
Too soon for a Challenger Reference??? It was seven years…
