Watching the episodes in order, I’m impressed by how solid this show was from the start. There is so much goofy stuff, but also so much tension and atmosphere and good scenes of Scully losing patience with crap. Think of how long Star Trek: The Next Generation ran before they tried doing episodes that made sense.
The X-Files also has the highest bit-player-to-star incidence of just about any TV show. That is totally Seth Green, and the stoner chick is voice actress Lalainia Lindbjerg, known to nerds as Bulma in Dragon Ball.
Paranormal DOES smell rather funky though!
I believe next week’s episode is the first episode to actually feature a Monster Of The Week, so I’m looking forward to that! Episode 3 is also the episode that made my sister recommend I check the TV series out — she thought that something about a crime scene with three-inch-long fingerprints would appeal to me.
So embarrassing that I only saw this on MeFi instead of glomming onto it properly like a real fan. Sorry, Shaenon!
Oh gosh do I need to rewatch this series again. Should I break out the homemade VHS tapes or buy Blu-ray?
Sadly, it’s not available on Blu-ray.
These are great, and I coincidentally just started watching this show again! campyloader, The whole thing is on Netflix if you have that. (Also because I am that one guy, it’s “UFO hangar,” not hanger.)
I love the expression of the pilot in the panel 4 ahahahaha.
